Synopsis: Meet Herbie, a telepathic robot who tells lies! Remember Asimov’s laws of robotics! This story is about a liar, somebody who doesn’t tell the truth, somebody who injures people by not giving them the true facts. But suppose you have someone who injures you by telling you the truth would he be a liar? Such is the latest model of robot named Herby who can read minds and will always tell you what you want to hear so as not to break the rule not to hurt a human. + Have you stopped to figure out just what you mean by a liar? A liar is somebody who doesn’t tell the truth, somebody who injures people by not giving them the true facts. But suppose you have somebody who injures people by telling the truth, would he be a liar?

 

Day 2 – Nightfall – Dimension X – Air Date September 25, 1951

Synopsis: “Nightfall”. A visit to a planet on the edge of our galaxy that circles a group of six suns. There hasn’t been a sunset for the last two thousand forty nine years…until now! The last show of the series. The script was used subsequently on “X Minus One” on December 7, 1955. The observatory had issued a press statement that the world was coming to an end. It was the biggest story of the year. How would you feel if there was no light if all the suns went down at once and there was no light?

Day 1 – A Pebble in the Sky – Dimension X – Air Date June 17, 1951

Synopsis: A story that tells a tale about a galaxy ruled by the former colonies of Earth. Earth is looked at as a backwater “Pebble in the Sky” whose radioactive residents are shunned by the galactic empire. A single brave archeologist makes his way to Earth in an effort to discover mankind’s origins. Instead, he uncovers something that could put an end to galactic civilization.
